Based in Melbourne, Steve’s Custom Welding provides high quality, innovative aluminium alloy boat hulls, customised to suit any boating needs. We combine precision cutting systems with the highest quality aluminium alloys to create boats with exceptional handling and ride. Your plate boat hull is then supplied to you, ready to fit out.

With over a decade’s worth of experience, all Steve’s Custom Welding designs are proven and tested. We build full plate aluminium hulls using 5083 high strength marine grade materials in a number of different sizes, ranging from 4.2 meters to 9 meters; our services and products are tailored to your needs.

We can perform repairs and modifications to all plate boat hulls, as well as all makes and models of aluminium boats. Depending on hull size, orders are usually ready anywhere from 6-10 weeks. We also supply a number of additional fit out options for all hull sizes, including anchor winches, hard top, tee tops, rocket launchers, targa tops, biminis, boat clears and lights. Fitouts can be installed yourself or by our professional team. Additional plate boat services are also available, including painting, and trailer sales & repairs; give us a call to discuss.

With a warehouse in Melbourne, plate boat transportation is best carried out by boat trailer; if unavailable, hulls can also be picked up by a flatbed crane truck, rested on tyres and strapped down.

All work on Steve’s Custom Welding aluminium boat hulls is conducted by AS:1796 WTIA certified welders and holds a 7 year warranty, so you can enjoy your boat for years to come.
